Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Just imagine...perfect peace.  Can you go there?  A life of perfect peace.  My mind just drifted off to St. John British Isles, laying on the beach watching the waves trickle on to shore in a state of comatose between heaven on earth and a really great nap!  Can you imagine if all of life was like that?  WOW!  Sign me up. 

Ok, back to reality.  Yes, moments and glimpses of "perfect peace" like ones I describe are amazing, but can I suggest that moments like these vanish as quickly as they happen in life.  If I am not careful, I can begin to live for the next time to find peace, rest and escape from life.  I begin to set myself up for failure to experience times of peace instead of experiencing a full life of peace - every day of my life. 

How can one experience peace each and every day of our lives?

Read this verse from Isaiah.  "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."  What does this verse say?  If I trust in the Lord with my life - all of my life, and be steadfast (strong) in the Lord, then the Lord will give us PERFECT PEACE!  Wow, what a promise.  Perfect peace in the middle of my day?  I need that!

So, escape today, in the middle of your life circumstance, to trust the Lord and stay strong in the Lord and allow Him to give you perfect peace today.  No need to travel to a distant shore to find it.  It is available for you today.  Trust Him.
